Privacy Policy for Streakify Habit Tracker

Streakify Habit Tracker (“the App”) helps users create habits, track completions, view statistics, export data, import data, and receive optional reminders. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles, how it is used, and what choices users have.

1. Information the App Handles

The App may handle the following categories of information:

Habit data entered by the user, such as habit names, descriptions, icons, colors, frequencies, and completion history.
Reminder preferences set by the user, such as reminder time and whether reminders are enabled.
Exported or imported CSV files when the user chooses to export or import habit data.
Limited device and advertising data collected by advertising services used in the App, such as Google AdMob.

2. How Your Data Is Used

User data is used to:

Save and display habits and completion history inside the App.
Calculate streaks, progress, and statistics.
Schedule and show optional local notifications for reminders.
Allow the user to export data to a CSV file or import data from a CSV file.
Display ads through Google AdMob.

3. Local Storage

Habit data is stored locally on the user’s device using the App’s local database. The developer does not operate a server for storing habit records from this App.

4. Ads and Third-Party Services

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob and its partners may collect or process certain device information, identifiers, diagnostics, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data for ad delivery, fraud prevention, analytics, and related advertising purposes.

5. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

POST_NOTIFICATIONS: used to send optional habit reminder notifications.
INTERNET: used to load ads.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: used to support ad loading and related network-aware behavior.

6. Notifications

Notifications are optional and are used only for habit reminders chosen by the user. Users can disable reminders in the App or turn off notifications in device settings.

7. Import and Export

When a user exports data, the App creates a CSV file containing the user’s habit information and completion history. When a user imports data, the selected CSV file is read from the location chosen by the user and used to replace current habit data in the App.

Exported files may be stored locally or shared by the user using other apps or services. Once a file is shared outside the App, its handling is governed by the policies of those services.

8. Data Sharing

The developer does not sell habit data entered into the App. Habit data stored locally in the App is not shared by the developer with third parties.

However, third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob may collect and process certain data as described above.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Habit data remains on the device until the user edits it, deletes it, imports replacement data, clears the App’s storage, or uninstalls the App. Exported files remain wherever the user saves them until the user deletes them.

Because the developer does not maintain a backend account system for habit data, there is no server-side account data to delete.

10. Security

The App relies on standard Android platform protections and local app storage mechanisms. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but reasonable efforts are made to minimize risk.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a dedicated backend service.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected by changing the effective date.
